Amazon has put a three-day delay on user reviews for Prime Video shows which includes its own $715M big budget show The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power. The show has suffered from review bombing which refers to a flooding a show with bad reviews – some of which come from bots or trolls.
The show’s premiere got 25 million global viewers, the streamer’s biggest debut ever, but has also gotten some negative reviews. The series has a 39% audience rating on Rotten Tomatoes, and around 25% of IMDb reviewers gave it one star.
Even Elon Musk ragged on the show in a tweet, saying “Tokien is turning in his grave.” Everyone has an agenda, so it’s always advisable to make your own judgment these days.
