10 Billion Views a Month to Unicorn Status

If you are not familiar with Jellysmack, that will probably change soon.  It’s the newest unicorn on the back of a fresh funding from Masoyoshi Son’s Softbank Vision Fund 2 which didn’t disclose the amount or terms of the deal.

Jellysmack was founded in 2016 by Michael Philippe, Robin Sabban and Swann Maizil. They currently work with around 200 creators, including PewDiePie, MrBeast, Bailey Sarian, Derek Deso, Karina Garcia, Charles & Alyssa Forever, and Brad Mondo.

Owned-and-operated video brands including Beauty Studio, soccer-focused Oh My Goal, and Gamology are also among the company’s clients.

Creators often find success on one social media channel.  Jellysmack has proprietary technology which helps creators optimize video performance across different platforms including Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Snapchat and Twitter.  This helps them find new audiences in the neighborhood of 25 million to 300 million incremental monthly views, per the company.

The company says it registers 10 billion global monthly video views for its clients.
