Who needs Aquaman?



Aquaman is a friend to fishermen in both the comic books and the recent movies.  Stockholm, Sweden-based sport fishing app, social network, and digital marketplace Fishbrain wants his job and has just raised $31 million to do it.
 
The investors in the round included Consensus Småbolagsfond, Adrigo Asset Management, B Capital Group and SoftBank Ventures Asia. 

The company has around 12 million registered users across the world.  The app is like the Waze for fishing with an interactive map that helps anglers find hot new fishing spots and see what other people are catching, as well as the bait they're using.  Tools, insights and support are combined with Fishbrain’s in-app and web marketplace, Fishbrain Shop, to give fishermen (fisherpersons?) the best possible experience whether beginner or pro.
