REMOTE WORK

Remote Work is a ‘Civilizational Shift’ Per Top VCs

Marc Andreessen, the famed founder of Silicon Valley investor a16z recently said that remote work could cause an "earthquake" in how we live and may end up being viewed as something more important even than the Internet.

He further explained in a recent podcast interview that it will mark a “civilizational shift” because people don’t have to live where they work anymore.

"For thousands of years, if you were a sharp, ambitious young person  —  and this is true of the Medici, and it's true with the Greeks  —  you had to go to the city to basically get opportunity,"

"It is perhaps the most important thing that's happened in my lifetime, a consequence of the internet that's maybe even more important than the internet," he said.

Another prominent VC seems to agree:

Let’s see if they’re right, and the remote work policies stick.
